With safety and continuity of service paramount in both domestic and commercial settings, FuseBox’s NEW Type 1 surge protection device provides front line protection against direct lightning to complement our Type 2 device.

Compatibility

Our New Type1 SPD (combined T1, T2 and T3) is suitable for TN, TNC-S, TNC and TT systems.

Supplied ready for easy installation

All FuseBox Type 1 SPDs are supplied complete with over current protection device (63A MCB) and 16mm² cables cut to the correct length for installation into ANY FuseBox consumer unit.

For optimum protection from the effects of direct lightning

To protect against the impact of direct lightning, your FuseBox T1 surge protection device should be located as close as possible to the origin of the electrical installation (534.4.1.4).

Ensure continuity of protection

FuseBox’s T1 and T2 surge protection devices both feature flag indicators that highlight when the SPD has expired.

GREEN means protection is being provided.

RED means it’s time to change your SPD cartridge.

A removable cartridge within each device means that it is easy to ensure continuity of surge protection within the installation.

Surge protection device ID and spec

FuseBox T1 SPDs are identified by the colour BLACK and are 36mm wide with an additional 18mm for the 63A MCB – total 54mm wide.

FuseBox T2 SPDs are identified by the colour ORANGE and are 18mm wide with an additional 18mm for the 32A MCB – total 36mm wide.
