FuseBox Boosts Renewable Energy Safety with New 6kA Bi-Directional MINI RCBOs
FuseBox is excited to unveil the new Bi-Directional MINI RCBOs with switched LINE and NEUTRAL. Specifically designed for renewable energy systems such as home EV and solar installations, where power can be fed back into the grid or used bi-directionally, these RCBOs offer advanced protection where it’s needed most.
Key Features:
Bi-Directional Fault Detection: Detects fault currents flowing both ways – from source to load and from load to source – ensuring comprehensive protection against overloads, short circuits, and earth leakage.
Optimised for Reverse Current: Ideal for installations that experience reverse current flows due to energy generation or storage.
Enhanced Safety: Provides Type A-AC and pulsating DC protection up to 6mA.
Versatile Options: Available in current ratings from 6A to 40A, with 6kA short circuit capacity and B and C type tripping curves.
Compact Design: At just 85mm high and 18mm wide, these RCBOs save space in the consumer unit, making installation, connection, and testing quicker and easier.
“Our new Bi-Directional MINI RCBOs are essential for anyone working with renewable energy systems in home set-ups, such as EV chargers and solar panels,” said Jack Benson, Commercial Director at FuseBox. “They’re compact, easy to install, offering essential protection to ensure both your equipment and home are safe.”
